Welcome to Pula Superiorvm 2018.

This is our 17th festival and we hope you will enjoy it even more.

fotoTo our great satisfaction again this year the Tourist Board of Pula generously provide support for the 13th days of Antiquity in Pula. At their offices in Pula, an exhibition of photograph under the theme " spectacula Antiqua " will be on display .

The author Tanja Savic Draškić in her photographs carefully shows selected moments in which she invested a lot of effort to faithfully depict the past . Various staged moments record passionate elements of one gladiator's fights.

Is there such a thing such as  modern gladiators?

Fighters sparring with swords and other weapons do not exist today . However , Roman gladiators have become very popular figures in modern culture , these ancient warriors are very often topic of conversation . Combatting , dodging and parrying are a great source of entertainment for the audience . This exhibition provides a detailed overview of armed men in the arena battling against each other . There is no doubt that these images will evoke strong feelings to visitors of the exihibition, depicting  a moment of a gladiator fight that depends on the mercy of the audience and Caesar .

A blend of cultures and traditions woven together creating a fabric of true magic resulting in these photographs , a true ancient delight. These graphic representations of the ancient combat is a great introduction to the spectacle of gladiators, this year yet again live in the arena .

Intentionally immersing one's self in history, through this exibition by an experienced and important author is an exceptional experience for some real insight into one of the most ancient sports. Thumbs up for these photographs and long live the gladiators .

The exhibition is open  daily from 5th of  June to the 24th of June 2014 . Of the 12 photos visitors will definetly be able to choose their winner.

Rondo HistriaeThe melodical voices of the mixed choir Rondo Histria will be another one of the musical numbers, which will enrich this year's 13th Festival Pula Superiorvm making it even more memorable - we are sure that the host of synchronized voices will not leave you indifferent. The special and charming harmonics of the singers, antique musical motifs, the tradition of choral singing, Rondo Histriae and the uniqueness of their musical expression are excellent ingredients in the recipe of the main square Forum to revive the atmosphere of ancient Pula.

The design of the distinctive musical expression of the Rondo Histriae choir is mostly thanks to Mo. Miroslav Homen, prof. Neven Radakovic and prof. Vincent Buric.
