The construction of the central square of the ancient and medieval Pula, in the first century BC required the filling of the coastline in order to obtain more space. The Forum was the center where they were housed all city institutions - religious, administrative, judicial and economic. In the northern part of the Forum, originally there were two equal temples and a central temple dedicated to Jupiter, Juno and Minerva. Today, only the temple of Augustus has been preserved and there is only one of the walls which was used to build the city hall in the XIII. century.
